The University Physics Competition 

To register a team for the 2017 University Physics Competition, please complete our 2-step registration process below.  First, enter the team information in the form below and press the Submit button.  Then click on the PayPal button and go to their website to submit the $35 registration fee.  At the PayPal website, be sure to enter a shipping address, where we will send team certificates after papers have been judged.  Further, at the PayPal website, please submit the name of Student 1 again, so that we can confirm that your payment is associated with the correct team registration. 

All registrations must be received at least six hours before the contest begins.  Teams will receive an e-mail assigning them a Team Number within two business days of submitting their registration, and at least 3 hours before the contest begins.


The 2017 University Physics Competition will begin on Friday, November 10, 2017, at 6pm MST (Mountain Standard Time), which is Saturday, November 11, 2017, 1am GMT/UTC.  The contest lasts for exactly 48 hours.  All papers must be received via e-mail before the 48 hours have elapsed.
